The Role

Ascot Air is seeking an experienced HVAC Estimator to join our growing team, preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial fitout and refurbishment projects across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. With over 20 years of experience delivering exceptional air conditioning services throughout South East Queensland, Ascot Air specialises in complex commercial projects including hospitality venues, shopping centres, corporate high-rises, and universities.

Working closely with our Project Managers, Engineers, and business development team, you'll play a key role in interpreting drawings and specifications, pricing mechanical works, and supporting the successful conversion of tenders into delivered projects while maintaining strong commercial and quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing

- Preparing detailed, accurate cost estimates for HVAC fitout and refurbishment projects

- Reading and interpreting mechanical, architectural, and construction drawings and specifications

- Performing take-offs of ductwork, plant, equipment, and mechanical services

- Obtaining and reviewing supplier and subcontractor quotations

- Preparing tender submissions and pricing schedules within deadlines





- Conducting site measurements and attending site inspections and tender briefings

- Liaising professionally with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders on-site

- Handing over won projects to the delivery team with clear scope and budget documentation

- Supporting successful delivery of commercial HVAC fitout and refurbishment projects across SEQ

Your Education, Experience & Skills

- Proven experience estimating commercial HVAC / mechanical services, ideally in fitout and refurbishment

- Strong understanding of mechanical services installation practices and ductwork systems

- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, plans, and specifications

- Confident with estimating software and MS Office (Excel in particular)

- Experience working on or estimating for commercial construction sites

- Positive attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills

- Ability to liaise professionally with clients and contractors

- White Card (essential)

- Current driver's licence (preferred)

- Full working rights in Australia (essential)
