Berendsen Fluid Power is looking for a Field Service Technician to join our Richlands team. You’ll take ownership of field-based hydraulic repairs, maintenance and fault-finding, working directly with customers across a diverse range of industries.

This isn’t a role where you’ll spend every day doing the same thing in the same workshop. You’ll work across a diverse range of industrial environments, with plenty of variety in the equipment, customers and challenges you encounter.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be trusted to head out to customer sites, understand what’s happening with their equipment and find the right solution.

Your Tasks

- Diagnosing faults in hydraulic systems and circuits
- Carrying out hydraulic repairs, maintenance and servicing
- Stripping, inspecting, repairing and testing hydraulic components
- Reading hydraulic schematics and technical drawings
- Completing installations and breakdown work




- Providing practical advice and updates directly to customers
- Completing service reports and associated job documentation
- Working across customer sites throughout the wider region, including travel towards Rockhampton, Maryborough and, at times, Gympie

What are we looking for?

You don’t need to have spent your entire career working for a hydraulic company.

We’d like to hear from you if you have:

- A Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting/Machining) or relevant Diesel Fitter qualification
- Hands-on experience repairing and maintaining hydraulic systems or circuits
- Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
- A current driver’s licence
- The confidence to work independently in the field
- A practical, safety-focused approach to your work

Just as importantly, you’ll be comfortable dealing directly with customers. We’re looking for someone who is approachable, knowledgeable and able to communicate clearly on site.
