Job Description

Join the Catering team at Pindara Private Hospital as a Part-Time Food Services Assistant, supporting the delivery of high-quality meals and excellent service to our patients, staff and visitors.

Working alongside a supportive team, you will contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the hospital's food services, helping ensure meals are prepared, presented and delivered safely and efficiently.

About You

You are reliable, friendly and take pride in providing excellent service. You enjoy working in a busy team environment, have a strong focus on food safety and hygiene, and are committed to creating a positive experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

- Assisting at mealtime with the service line setups and serving the meals and beverages in accordance with dietary requirements and hospital standards.
- Assisting the broader catering team with daily operations and special requirements.
- Provide friendly and respectful service to patients,



staff and visitors
- Follow food safety procedures, including appropriate food handling and temperature control
- Clean and maintain kitchen, food service and equipment areas
- Assist with dishwashing and general kitchen duties as required
- Support stock rotation, storage and replenishment of food and supplies
- Work collaboratively with the Catering team to ensure timely meal service
- Follow relevant workplace health and safety, infection prevention and hospital procedures

You Will Also Bring

- Previous experience in food services, hospitality, catering or a commercial kitchen environment is desirable
- A strong commitment to food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A friendly, professional and compassionate approach
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Solid attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Working across a rotating 7-day roster, including morning and afternoon shifts.

Additional Information
