In this full-time position, you will be responsible for consistently producing quality meals for the restaurant, room service and function events. Other duties include assisting with ordering, menu planning, stocktaking and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.

As the ideal candidate for this role you will possess the following skills:





- Relevant trade qualifications in cookery

- 2 years’ + experience as a Commis Chef, Demi Chef or Che de Partie

- Experience with team training and related development of subordinate team members

- Positive communication skills and be able to work individually and as part of a team

- Preparing and cooking food

- Monitoring the quality and presentation of dishes

- Following and advising on cooking techniques and procedures

- Assisting with menu preparation and food production

- Ordering and monitoring food supplies, where applicable

- Discussing food preparation with management and kitchen staff

- Ensuring food safety and hygiene requirements are followed

- Assisting with training kitchen staff, where applicable

- Freezing, preserving and storing food, where applicable
