The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join a specialist overhead crane business based in Melbourne.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with a background in cranes, lifting, engineering or industrial projects. The role would also suit an experienced Overhead Crane Technician or Boilermaker looking to step away from the tools and move into project management.

You’ll be responsible for managing overhead crane projects from initial planning
through to completion, working closely with customers, technicians, boilermakers and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to specification.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage overhead crane projects from planning through to completion
• Oversee crane builds, installations and project delivery
• Coordinate crane technicians, boilermakers and other project personnel
• Manage project timelines, quality and delivery
• Liaise directly with customers and key stakeholders
• Coordinate transport, materials and project logistics
• Monitor project budgets and Profit & Loss
• Manage project documentation and reporting
• Identify and resolve project issues as they arise
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards
• Maintain strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle

About You




We’re keen to speak with candidates who have:
• Project Management experience within cranes, lifting, engineering,
manufacturing or a related industry
• Strong knowledge of overhead cranes and/or crane projects
• Previous experience as a Crane Technician, Boilermaker, Mechanical Fitter
or similar would be highly regarded
• Experience coordinating trades, technicians or project teams
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Experience dealing directly with customers and contractors
• An understanding of project budgets, costs and P&L;
• The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• A practical, hands-on understanding of how crane projects are delivered
