About the Role

This is a casual / Part-time position with the opportunity to transition to a permanent role for the right candidate. The position offers flexibility while providing essential nursing support within our established and growing general practice.

As a valued member of our clinical team, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, supporting our doctors with clinical services, and contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

As a Practice Nurse, you will play an integral role in supporting our doctors and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Conduct and assist with Chronic Disease Management and Care Planning, including patient follow-up and ongoing care coordination.

- Conduct comprehensive Patient Health Assessments and support preventive healthcare initiatives.

- Assist GPs with iron infusions, including patient preparation, monitoring and post-procedure care.

- Administer adult and paediatric immunisations and vaccinations in accordance with clinical guidelines and practice protocols.

- Administer travel vaccinations and provide appropriate patient education.

- Provide wound assessment, management and dressing changes,



including ongoing care and follow-up.

- Conduct and assist with ear irrigation and other treatment room procedures as required.

- Assist GPs with minor surgical procedures, including preparation, patient support and post-procedure care.

- Maintain high standards of infection prevention and control, including treatment-room preparation and clinical hygiene.

- Undertake patient triage, recalls and reminder management to support timely and appropriate patient care.

- Manage clinical stock ordering and inventory control, ensuring adequate supplies are maintained efficiently.

- Participate in Quality Improvement activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical services and patient care.

- Provide general clinical and nursing support to GPs and the broader medical and administrative team as required.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a dedicated, reliable and patient-focused Registered Nurse (RN) who meets the following requirements:

- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (RN).

- Valid Australian citizenship, permanent residency or appropriate working rights/visa.

- Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

- Evidence of appropriate immunisation including COVID-19,

- Minimum 1 year of experience in general practice or a similar healthcare setting

- Strong clinical knowledge and nursing skills, with demonstrated competency in patient assessment and clinical interventions.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.

- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy GP environment.

- Flexibility and willingness to work casual / parttime rostered shifts, with the potential to transition to a permanent position for the right candidate.
