Core Tech Industries is expanding its underground development team, and we are looking for experienced Electricians and Fitters ready to step into long-term, secure work on a genuine 7/7 roster.

This is underground development work, the front end of the mine, where the standard of your maintenance directly sets the pace of the cycle. We want tradespeople who take pride in doing it properly the first time, back their judgement at the face, and understand that a well-maintained machine is the difference between a valuable shift and a lost one.

Both roles are engaged on a sub-contract basis, working full-time hours.

Underground Development Electricians

You will be responsible for electrical maintenance, fault finding, and servicing of the underground development fleet and associated infrastructure. Day-to-day, that means responding to breakdowns, completing scheduled servicing, carrying out statutory inspections and testing, and working alongside the fitters to keep the development cycle moving.

We are looking for:

- Current Electrical Licence, or the ability to obtain one

- Demonstrated underground development experience





- Strong fault-finding ability on mobile plant and electrical infrastructure

- Sound understanding of underground electrical standards and isolation procedures

Underground Development Fitters

You'll carry out mechanical maintenance, servicing, and breakdown repairs across the underground development fleet—hydraulics, drivetrains, braking and steering systems, and general plant.

We're looking for:

- Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting / Heavy Diesel Fitting

- Demonstrated underground development experience

- Strong hydraulic fault-finding and repair skills

- Field maintenance experience and the ability to work unsupervised underground

Essential for both roles

- Recognised trade qualification relevant to the role, being a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician, Engineering (Mechanical Trade) or equivalent

- Current Coal Board Medical, or the ability to obtain one

- Standard 11 Generic Induction, or the ability to obtain one

- Current Driver's Licence

- ABN and current public liability and personal accident cover, or the ability to arrange both prior to start

- A genuine commitment to safety, standards and looking after the people you work with
