Maths Teachers | Independent Schools | Sydney | 2027

HARKE is partnering with a number of leading independent schools across Sydney that are seeking experienced Maths teachers for full-time positions commencing in January 2027.

These opportunities are suited to teachers looking to join supportive, well-resourced schools that value strong academic outcomes, positive student relationships and high-quality teaching.

Schools are seeking teachers across a range of Maths areas, including:

- Mathematics Years 7–10

- Standard Mathematics

- Advanced Mathematics

- Extension Mathematics

- Junior Mathematics and Science combinations

Specific teaching loads will depend on each teacher’s experience, subject strengths and preferred year levels.

Who HARKE Wants to Hear From

HARKE is particularly interested in Maths teachers who can demonstrate:

- Experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school setting
- Strong knowledge of the NSW Mathematics curriculum
- The ability to engage students across a range of academic abilities

Teachers with experience delivering Stage 6 Mathematics, including Advanced or Extension courses, will be highly regarded. However, opportunities are also available for strong junior and middle-years Maths teachers.

Requirements

- Registration: Current NESA accreditation or eligibility to obtain accreditation
- Qualifications: Recognised secondary teaching qualification with Mathematics as a teaching area

- Safeguarding: Two current professional referees and completion of HARKE’s onboarding requirements
