Lynch Law is looking for an experienced Accounts & Office Administrator to join our small, friendly team in Tewantin as soon as possible. This is a varied role suited to someone who is organised, efficient and enjoys being part of a close-knit office. While the primary focus will be accounts and administration, a flexible approach is significant, as you may be required to assist with overflow of phone calls and general office tasks if needed.
Key responsibilities
- Managing the firm's trust account in accordance with Queensland Law Society requirements, including maintaining accurate records and ensuring the account is audit-ready
- General accounting and bookkeeping using Xero
- Payroll processing using Xero
- General accounts payable and receivable
- Preparing and coordinating the firm's insurance renewals and related requirements, including assisting with file audits
- Managing general office requirements and supplies
- Liaising with suppliers and service providers
About you
- Previous experience within a Queensland law firm is essential, however, a candidate with law firm experience in another State or Territory may be considered
- Practical experience with Queensland legal trust accounting is essential
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Well organised, reliable and able to work independently
- Comfortable juggling a variety of tasks and helping wherever needed
- A good sense of humour and a friendly, down-to-earth approach
- Experience with SmokeBall or similar practice management system would be an advantage, but is not essential
