The Role

Whilst they are recruiting for the 2-year fixed term position (you could also be considered for this), the short term role provides a unique opportunity for a highly motivated, and experienced HR Coordinator to take forward several projects including:

- An audit of salaries
- Start the process of developing a recruitment procedure
- Workshop Training (modules have been developed) for new policies and procedures

Reporting to the Manager, People and Wellbeing,



the position supervises the People and Wellbeing Officer, and more broadly coordinates the day-to-day operations of the People and Wellbeing function and contributes to creating a respectful, productive, and inclusive workplace where employees are supported to perform at their best.

The Person

With HR qualifications and/or with substantial relevant demonstrable experience, you are renowned within the local government setting for being a calm, pragmatic, hands on and values-based HR Coordinator with an unwavering focus on supporting staff and management.

Other prerequisites include:

- Ability to gain credibility, and partner and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
- High level knowledge of contemporary human resources practices and principles.
- High level writing, oral communication, analytical, conceptual and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully in a cross cultural environment.
- The application of analytical and investigative skills, along with a theoretical and practical background in human resource management to enable formulation of policy options for the organisation, the operationalisation of strategic human resource initiatives and resolve organisational problems.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while completing work programs on time and within budget.
