A major transport infrastructure project (valued at more than $1 billion) is underway across South East Queensland, delivering complex rail and station works in a brownfield environment integrated with operational assets. The head contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to own the delivery of complex, multidisciplinary station packages. You'll manage subcontractors, budgets, programs and quality, with responsibility for design, constructability, testing, commissioning and handover in a challenging live-asset environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Own multidisciplinary station package delivery including scope, cost, schedule and quality
- Manage key subcontractors and coordinate design, construction and commissioning
- Review engineering designs for constructability and compliance
- Coordinate site inspection, testing and commissioning activities
- Manage package interfaces with adjacent works and operations
- Monitor and control costs, schedule and quality metrics
- Prepare and maintain construction documentation and as-built records
- Participate in project assurance activities and handover dossier compilation




- Support secure work planning and risk management
- Escalate emerging issues and propose practical solutions

What We're Looking For

- Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, mechanical, electrical or building-services engineering
- 5-8 years' project engineering experience
- At least one station, rail, airport or complex public building project of $100m+
- Experience delivering multidisciplinary packages in brownfield environments
- Subcontractor management and cost/schedule control expertise
- Testing, commissioning and handover experience
- 2+ years' average tenure per employer with at least one project engineering role held for 2+ years
- Current construction induction card and ability to obtain rail competencies
- Strong technical knowledge across structural, architectural and services disciplines
- Leadership and team collaboration skills
