Job Description

The purpose of this role is to design and develop project data modelsthat meet organizational needs and that is aligned to Enterprise informationmodel using conceptual, logical, and physical data models.

This role will contribute to the development and management of projectand enterprise data model, data modelling standards and processes, applyingthem in the project delivery process to comply with Enterprise data policiesand guidelines.

Experience

- Sound experience in a data modeller and/or similarrole and significant years of experience in IT
- Solid experience leading the creation of data modeland managing the project data modelling delivery
- Demonstrated experience in Azure or othercloud-based data and analytics data platform
- Proven experience and competency in use of Erwin asthe data modelling tool.
- Broad expertise across data modelling capabilities,principles and policies.

Skills

- Extensive understanding of Logical Data Models,Physical Data Models and Dimension Models and ability to deliver Logical Modelsand Physical Designs.




- Intimate knowledge of data warehousing with respectto various data methodologies, such as Data Vault, 3rd Normal Form, Kimball.
- Strong knowledge and experienced on industryreference data model e.g., Teradata-FSLDM, IBM-Industry financial or utilitiesmodel (or any other industry reference model) and have used industry data modelto deliver data model for a company.
- A deep understanding and experience of enterprisemodern data architecture patterns and processes
- Positive understanding in creation and management ofdata management principles, data modelling and data naming standards.
- Suitable understanding of data ingestion, dataconsumption, data access & authorisation, ETL design and frameworkknowledge.
- Clear written and verbal communications; able tocommunicate with a wide range of people and to gather requirements, analyticsuse cases.
- Collaborating with stakeholders, including businessanalysts, data engineers, and developers to gather requirements refine datamodels.
- Adaptability in working in multiple industrysegments with utilities industry being a preference
- Self-starter who can deal with organisationalambiguity
- Collaborative and constructive with strongcommunication and stakeholder management skills
- Highly proactive with exceptional integrity,professionalism efficiency and accuracy
- Creativity and a passion for discovering andadopting new ways of working
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalentwith demonstrated experience in delivery of data model and design for Data andanalytics project delivery.
- Either certification or proven experience in dataarchitecture / modelling using Industry model.
