Job Description

Lead Restoration Technician to run jobs on the ground for a recent property restoration business operating across greater Melbourne and Victoria. First response to water, fire and mould losses - making sites safe, protecting property, and supporting clients through restoration incidents.

We are hiring multiple leads at the same time deliberately and it means you'll have peers at your own level to build the standards with rather than doing it alone.

Key responsibilities

- Leading and developing a small crew/team: pre-start briefings, quality checks, coaching and training
n
- Helping us write the procedures the next ten technicians will work to
n
- First response to water, fire and mould losses across greater Melbourne, and at times regional Victoria
n
- Making sites safe, protecting property, and calming a client who has never been through this before
n
- Designing and executing drying strategies to IICRC S500 - moisture mapping, equipment placement, daily monitoring, drying to standard
n
- Mould remediation to S520, fire and smoke restoration to S700, and biohazard decontamination to S540
n
- Capturing the photographs, moisture data and job notes that make a claim defensible
n
- Dealing directly with insurers, loss adjusters and builders

About you

n

n
- Experience in property restoration - or a trade or emergency services background with skills that transfer (carpentry, building, commercial cleaning, plastering)
n
- IICRC certification (WRT, ASD, AMRT, FSRT)

- A current Victorian driver's licence and a White Card
n
- Willingness to be part of a rotating after-hours on-call roster
n
- Physical capability for the work: lifting up to 20kg from floor, waist and shoulder height, carrying and pushing loads up to 30kg, stairs, subfloors and roof cavities, and working in full PPE including a fit-tested respirator

- Competitive base salary plus 12% superannuation

- Fully maintained vehicle, fuel card, phone and all tools and PPE provided

- On-call allowance, and overtime paid on top

- A shared on-call roster from day one

- Paid IICRC certification and ongoing training - WRT, ASD, AMRT, FSRT, first aid and tickets
