About the Role

Glasshouse Christian College is seeking a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant – Individual Student Support to join our Primary Learning Enhancement team.

In 2027, this role will provide dedicated support to students in Prep, generally on a one-to-one or one-to-two basis, helping students who require significant adjustments to access learning and participate successfully in school life.

Working alongside classroom teachers and our Primary Learning Enhancement team, you will support students throughout the school day, helping them develop confidence, independence and positive engagement in learning.

Depending on individual student needs,



the role may also include supporting communication, emotional regulation, mobility and personal care.

About You

The successful applicant will:

- Be a committed Christian who supports the Christian ethos, mission and values of Glasshouse Christian College.
- Have a genuine passion for supporting young students with disabilities and additional needs.
- Be patient, caring and encouraging in their approach.
- Build positive and respectful relationships with students.
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and Learning Enhancement staff.
- Be able to follow individual student plans, support strategies and professional direction.
- Encourage students to develop confidence, independence and positive relationships with others.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, confidentiality and qualified boundaries.
- Be willing to assist with physical or personal care needs where required.
- Be committed to ongoing training and professional learning.
- Hold a current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) issued by the Queensland Government.
