Operational Support Specialist - Immediate Start

Our client, a leading national FMCG wholesaler of fresh floral and potted products, is seeking a reliable and capable Operational Support Specialist to join its national operations team in Brendale.

This is an immediate-start temporary opportunity, with the potential to transition into a permanent position for the right person.

We are looking for someone who is confident using operational systems and Microsoft Excel, learns new processes quickly, and can provide dependable support in a busy environment. You will need to be focused, organised and comfortable taking ownership of tasks from beginning to end.

This is not simply a data-entry role. You will work closely with the National Projects Manager and support frontline teams across Australia with systems, reporting, operational processes and issue resolution.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing day-to-day systems and operational support to teams across Australia
- Using Microsoft Excel to maintain, review and analyse operational data
- Preparing regular reports and information for operational decision-making
- Troubleshooting system and process issues and following them through to resolution
- Maintaining accurate data across sales and operational systems
- Managing support requests and meeting required deadlines
- Identifying recurring issues, data discrepancies and process gaps
- Updating operational tools, resources and documentation
- Assisting with system maintenance and process improvements
- Communicating with stakeholders across multiple states
- Providing reliable support during busy operational periods

About You





To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience in operational support, administration, systems support or coordination
- Robust Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with spreadsheets and data
- The ability to learn and navigate operational systems quickly
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A reliable, focused and consistent approach to your work
- The confidence to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks
- Good problem-solving skills and the initiative to investigate issuesClear verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to commence immediately or at short notice

Experience with Power BI and PowerPoint will be highly regarded. Previous exposure to StayinFront or similar sales and field-force systems would also be advantageous but is not essential.

Most importantly, we are seeking someone dependable who will become a capable and trusted member of the team.

Working Arrangement

- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am-4:00pm
- Immediate start
- Temporary assignment with potential to become permanent
- Tools of trade provided
