We are currently seeking aDisability Support Workerwho lives in and around the Roselands area to support a 58-year-old ventilated male who lives at home with his family.

In line with the participant's NDIS goals and right to choice and control, the participant has expressed a preference for support workers who can communicate in Cantonese and who have an understanding of Chinese culture and Christian faith-based practices that are important to their daily life and routines.

Applicants who can speak Cantonese and have experience supporting participants from Chinese and/or Christian backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

While these attributes are highly regarded to meet the participant's preferences, all applications will be considered based on experience, qualifications, skills, and the ability to provide high-quality person-centred support.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Management of tracheostomy and ventilation
- Medication administration
- Use of mobility equipment
- Light domestic assistance
- Special meal preparation and community participation
- Assistance with therapy tasks
- Personal care
- PEG feeding





You will be supported by qualified healthcare professionals and provided with the necessary training and skills to do the best job you can.

What you need:

- Current references
- Current driver'slicence, vehicle registration and your own car with insurance
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one (mandatory)
- First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one (mandatory)
- Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one – paid clearance (mandatory)
- Certificate III or equivalent (mandatory)
- Passion for caring and a commitment to participant wellbeing
