The Team Member reports to the Store Manager. This role is classified as Level 1 in the GRA.

In the absence of the Store Manager the Team Member reports to the Long Life and/or Fresh Food Manager

OBJECTIVES

- 1. Maximise sales by providing a great standard of customer service, a clean and safe environment, ensuring our customers are always presented with a high standard in all areas.
- 2. Support and motivate the store team by executing routines and processes to a high standard.
- 3. Follow direction to maintain all areas of the store to the highest standard.
- 4. Be a constructive team member in the store.
- 5. This role is specific to the Delicatessen Department and requires team members to upskill on food safety standards and to follow them accordingly in daily routines
- 6. Prior experience in food handling is not required but is preferred.
- 7. Customer service skills are essential. This role requires staff to directly serve customers fresh food products daily.
- 8. Team members will be required to cook food and prepare fresh food products, close attention to detail is required to ensure food safety standards are followed.
- 9. This role is open for Junior and Senior Staff memebers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- 1. Ensure store routines and processes are carried out effectively & accurately.
- 2. Ensure all Schedule/Routine Cards are followed.
- 3. Communicate to the Store Manager all incidents, damages, operational problems, or suggestions.
- 4. Minimise stock losses caused by store damages and stock management processes.




- 5. Support the Store Team in managing the store standards.
- 6. Ensure all controls, policies, and procedures (e.g., WH&S;, Employee Handbook, Product Recall, Food Safety, Due Diligence, Handling of Payments etc) are followed.
- 7. Ensure all current legislative and Bernardi internal requirements and responsibilities are always adhered to by store staff and maintain adequate records. Inform and train store staff in all company procedures to comply with legal requirements.
- 8. Perform any special tasks as specified by the Store Manager that is in the nature of the role.
