G & B Stainless Pty Ltd is a long-established Brisbane manufacturer specialising in custom stainless steel and mild steel fabrication, installation, and equipment for the food processing and architectural industries. Operating from our Crestmead workshop since 1982, we design, manufacture and install process equipment, tanks, platforms, handrails, balustrades and custom fabrications for local and national clients.

We are a tight, experienced workshop team that values quality workmanship, attention to detail, and tradespeople who take pride in what they build.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a Senior Fabricator / Tradesperson to join our workshop team. This is a hands-on senior role for a qualified tradesperson who can take a job from drawing through to finished product, work independently to a high standard, and help set the pace and quality on the shop floor.

You will work across stainless and mild steel fabrication for food-grade process equipment and architectural steelwork.

KEY DUTIES

- Read and interpret workshop drawings and job specs, plan and execute the work.
- Fabricate, assemble and finish stainless steel and mild steel projects.
- Weld to a high standard using TIG and MIG (stainless and carbon steel), including hygienic / food-grade welds where required.
- Work with the workshop reporting to the Operations Manager / Leading Hand
- Communication and ability to work within a team to sequence jobs and meet delivery dates.
- Follow WHS procedures,



workshop standards and quality checks on every job.
- Occasionally assist with site installations Australia wide.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

- Trade qualification - Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (or equivalent Boilermaker / Sheetmetal / Welder-fabricator trade).
- Proven senior-level workshop experience in stainless steel fabrication (ideally 5+ years post-trade).
- Strong hygienic TIG and Mig welding skills.
- Ability to work from drawings with minimal supervision and produce accurate, well-finished work.
- Sound knowledge of workshop equipment and machinery
- Current White Card (CPCWHS1001) and right to work in Australia.
- Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious and able to work as part of a fast-paced workshop team.

Highly regarded

- Food processing / hygienic stainless experience (conveyors, process equipment, platforms ect..).
- Structural welding, purge welding or coded weld tickets and advantage.
- Forklift, Scissor and EWP license an advantage
