Elite Dental Care is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team in Mackay, QLD on a casual/ full time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic dental workplace, providing essential support to our dental professionals and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our practice, contributing to a positive patient experience and the overall success of our clinic.

What you'll be doing

Providing chairside assistance to dentists during patient treatments and procedures

Preparing treatment rooms, sterilising instruments, and maintaining dental equipment in accordance with infection control protocols

Recording patient medical and dental histories and maintaining accurate patient records

Assisting with patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care

Managing patient flow, scheduling appointments, and handling administrative duties

Providing compassionate patient support and ensuring a welcoming clinic environment

Maintaining compliance with dental health and safety regulations

Supporting the dental team with inventory management and stock ordering as required

What we're looking for

A recognised Dental Assistant qualification or equivalent relevant experience in a dental setting

Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and team members





Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities

Knowledge of infection control and sterilisation protocols

Proficiency with dental software and computer systems

A compassionate, patient-focused approach to patient care

Flexibility and reliability with availability for casual shifts

Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain it

Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
