The Role

Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, supervisors, subcontractors and the wider project team, you will play a key role in maintaining and continually improving health, safety and environmental standards across active construction projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing practical HSE advice and support to project and site teams
- Conducting regular site inspections, audits and safety observations
- Supporting the implementation of project-specific HSE management plans
- Identifying hazards and implementing effective risk controls
- Assisting with incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions
- Delivering toolbox talks, inductions and safety briefings
- Monitoring subcontractor compliance with HSE requirements
- Supporting site teams with risk assessments and SWMS
- Maintaining accurate HSE documentation and records
- Promoting a proactive safety culture across projects
- Working collaboratively with site teams to achieve strong safety outcomes

About You





We are looking for an experienced HSE Advisor / Safety Advisor / WHS Advisor with:

- 2–3+ years' experience in a construction HSE role
- Relevant HSE, WHS, Occupational Health & Safety or related qualifications
- Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation and construction requirements
- Experience working on active construction sites
- Confidence engaging with Site Managers, Project Managers, subcontractors and trades
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A practical, hands‑on approach to safety
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

Experience

Working for a Tier 1, Tier 2 or established commercial construction business will be highly regarded.
