Perf's Fabrication & Welding Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and motivated Trade Assistant to join our growing team, servicing a range of fabrication projects and mine sites throughout the Hunter Valley.
We are looking for someone who has a strong work ethic, takes pride in their work and is keen to develop their skills within the fabrication industry. This is a outstanding opportunity for someone with previous workshop, fabrication, construction or mine-site experience who enjoys hands‑on work and being part of a team.
Working on a Monday to Friday roster, you will provide support to our boilermakers and welders across a variety of heavy and light fabrication, maintenance, repair and installation projects.
Your duties may include:
- Assisting boilermakers and welders with fabrication and maintenance work
- Preparing materials for fabrication
- Cutting, grinding, drilling and cleaning materials
- Using hand and power tools
- Moving and handling materials and equipment
- Assisting with the setup and pack‑up of work areas
- General workshop duties and housekeeping
- Assisting tradespeople with day‑to‑day tasks
- Working safely and maintaining a clean and organised work environment
- Following all workplace and mine‑site safety requirements

- MDG25
- Previous mine‑site experience
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Basic fabrication or welding experience
