We are seeking a talented Breakfast Cook to join the culinary team at Ibis Styles Broken Hill on a casual basis. This role is based in Broken Hill, NSW, and offers the perfect opportunity for hospitality professionals who thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment during morning service. As a Breakfast Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality breakfast dishes that meet our guests' expectations and contribute to their memorable stay at our hotel.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast items including cooked breakfasts, pastries, and continental options to hotel standards
- Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards
- Maintain a clean, hygienic and organised kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
- Work efficiently during peak breakfast service times to deliver meals promptly to guests
- Monitor and manage food inventory, reporting stock levels and placing orders as required
- Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to ensure seamless service
- Follow all health, safety and food handling procedures
- Assist with basic food preparation and mise en place before service begins

What we’re looking for

- Proven experience working as a cook in a hotel, restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of breakfast cuisine and ability to cook a range of breakfast items to a high standard
- Excellent food hygiene and safety awareness with understanding of food handling best practices




- Ability to work effectively under pressure during busy service periods
- Solid organisational and time management skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility and reliability for casual shifts including weekends
- Relevant qualifications such as a food handler's certificate or hospitality qualification are desirable
