Trainer & Assessor (Brisbane) - Part-Time - Drug & Alcohol Testing

Are you an experienced trainer who loves delivering great training - and is equally good at keeping things organised?

The Drug and Alcohol Testing Institute (DATI) is growing, and we are looking for a Trainer & Assessor to join our team in a permanent part-time position.

This is more than a training delivery role. We are looking for someone who is confident in front of a class, highly organised behind the scenes, and takes pride in getting the details right.

The Drug and Alcohol Testing Institute (DATI) is Australia's leading provider of drug and alcohol testing training. As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO #31988), we deliver nationally accredited and non-accredited training programs to individuals and organisations across Australia.

Our training is aligned with current Australian and New Zealand Standards and is recognised for its quality, integrity and industry relevance.

About the Role

Working closely with our General Manager and training team, you will:

- Deliver engaging training through live online Zoom classrooms

- Deliver occasional face-to-face training for client groups across Australia

- Assess participants and provide constructive feedback

- Complete training and assessment administration accurately and on time

- Maintain accurate participant and assessment records

- Communicate effectively with participants and the administration team

- Assist with course preparation, equipment and training resources

- Contribute to continuous improvement and quality activities

- Support the smooth running of training programs from start to finish

We are looking for someone who enjoys both sides of the role - working with people and getting the administration right.





The Person We're Looking For

You will be a confident and engaging trainer who is also:

- Highly organised and detail-oriented

- Reliable and proactive

- Comfortable managing administration and documentation

- Confident using technology and online systems

- Qualified and approachable

- Able to work independently while being a strong team player

- Committed to providing an excellent participant experience

You will ideally have industry experience in drug and alcohol testing, pathology specimen collection, nursing, allied health, occupational health or another relevant health field.

Essential Requirements

- Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

- Minimum three (3) years' experience delivering Vocational Education and Training

- Relevant industry experience

- Strong administration and organisational skills

- Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills

- Confidence delivering training via Zoom

- Availability to work a minimum of three days per week

- Current unrestricted driver's licence

- Ability and willingness to travel nationally when required

Desirable

- Experience using aXcelerate LMS

- Understanding of Australian Standards relating to drug and alcohol testing

- Experience delivering HLTPAT010 - Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing
