Melbourne Operations and truck despatch Team leader role leading a team of 5 drivers to manage customer, local and interstate deliveries in the logistics field.

Key responsibilities

- Loading/unloading freight from trucks.
n
- Assisting Despatch Managerwith general responsibilities
n
- Maintaining clean and tidy warehouse and trucks
n
- Immediate start, hourly rate $35/hr (above the award)
n
- All deliveries are on Pantech's with tailgate unload, but access to plenty of equipment available to minimise labour as much as possible
n
- Hours can vary, but aiming for between 38-55 hours a week
n
- mostly daytime hours with very little weekend
n
- Employment progress available (casual, full time, hourly)
n
- Regular opportunities to do long distance runs, including intrastate & interstate, for right candidate
n

About you

- Good health and fitness level
n
- Strong availability for shift work
n
- Be a team player with valuable communication skills
n
- Fluency in English
n
- Previous experience in fragile freight or furniture is highly regarded
