Your Responsibilities

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

- Provide dedicated one-to-one support for pupils with additional needs
- Deliver tailored interventions and support programmes
- Support learning across the primary age range
- Encourage engagement, independence, and confidence in the classroom
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Monitor and record pupil progress
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs,



and parents to support individual learning plans
- Support small group activities when required
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should:

- Have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Have previous experience working within a primary school setting
- Hold a Level 2 Childcare qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Possess SEN-specific qualifications or training (advantageous)
- Have a good understanding of the KS1 and/or KS2 curriculum
- Be committed to supporting pupil progress and development
- Demonstrate excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare
