We specialise in authentic Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine, serving freshly prepared kebabs, grilled meats, salads, and traditional sauces to a loyal customer base of locals and tourists. Operating in one of the Gold Coast's busiest dining precincts, we take pride in our food quality, consistency, and rapid, friendly service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inspect all incoming meat, vegetables, and other ingredients to ensure freshness and quality before use
- Set and monitor temperatures for grills, ovens, and other cooking equipment throughout service
- Prepare and cook Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes including kebabs, grilled plates, rice, breads, and sauces according to house recipes
- Adjust seasoning during cooking to maintain consistent flavour profiles
- Portion cooked meals accurately and arrange plates with appropriate garnishes, sauces, and sides




- Store prepared ingredients and cooked food in cool rooms and freezers at correct temperatures
- Prepare special meals for customers with dietary needs such as gluten-free, dairy-free, or halal requirements
- Assist with planning weekly specials and estimating ingredient quantities based on customer demand
- Train and guide junior kitchen staff and apprentices in food preparation and safety procedures

Skills & Experience:

- Minimum 1 year of full-time experience as a Cook in a restaurant or commercial kitchen
- Familiarity with Persian/Iranian cuisine – nice to have
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Good teamwork and communication skills in a busy kitchen
- Understanding of kitchen stock control and minimising food waste

Qualifications:

- Certificate III in Catering Operations – SIT30921
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery – SIT30821

Certificate IV in Kitchen Management (Having any of the above is a plus – not mandatory) Working Conditions:

Kitchen-based role at Shop 1A, Napper Road & Daintree Drive, Arundel QLD 4214 Full-time position Evening, weekend, and public holiday work required

Salary: AUD 80,000 + superannuation per annum
