The role will be involved in keeping key policy documents up to date and will be active in supporting health services through the preparation and assessment for mergers.

Key responsibilities

The administrative, approval and legal steps are critical to be executed with high accuracy and within the required timeframes and this role will be key in each of these steps.
n
Reporting to the Manager Mergers and Partnerships, this is a key role in supporting voluntary mergers of health systems, which are intended to improve the effectiveness of the health system and enable more streamlined access to care for patients.
n
The Department of Health plays a critical role in the Victorian health system and is responsible for shaping it to meet the health needs of all Victorians.

What you need

Collaborating with colleagues in teams across the department, you will be involved in the project management, planning for communications and tracking advantages which flow from health system voluntary mergers.
n
Negotiates with stakeholders and peers with the object of gaining co-operation and meeting timelines for delivery of project, service or advice.
n
A tertiary qualification in fields related to public health, health
economics/economics,
social policy or health administration would be an advantage.
