Trade Skilled Modular Building Installer

Working as part of our Operations team, you will play a key role in the installation and decomplexing of Grove Hire's modular buildings and complexes, as well as supporting the maintenance, refurbishment, repair and preparation of our portable building fleet.

n

This is a hands-on role requiring strong practical trade skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently as part of a site installation team.

n

Based at our Pakenham branch, the role will involve travel to construction and infrastructure projects throughout Victoria to support building installations, modifications and demobilisations.

n

Professionalism and transparent communication are essential, as you will be representing Grove Hire on customer sites and will need to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.

n

Flexibility with working hours may be required to meet project, transport and site schedules.

n

Safety is a critical part of this role. You will be expected to follow site and Grove Hire safety requirements and actively contribute to a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

n

Install and decomplex modular buildings and complexes on customer sites.

n

Read and interpret plans, drawings and installation requirements to ensure buildings and complexes are installed correctly.

n

Work alongside crane crews, transport providers, builders and other contractors during building installations and removals.

n

Coordinate effectively with site supervisors,



customers and other stakeholders while representing Grove Hire professionally on site.

n

Refurbishment, repair and internal fit-outs of modular and portable buildings.

n

General carpentry, plumbing, building maintenance and handyman repairs.

n

Identify faults and maintenance requirements and complete repairs and rectification works.

n

Rectification of customer damage and preparation of assets for rehire.

n

Prepare buildings and equipment for transport, installation and hire.

n

Operate forklifts, tools and other equipment safely and correctly.

About you

n

Highly skilled in carpentry and general building maintenance

n

Experienced in plumbing and general repairs

n

White Card

n

Current Driver Licence

n

Current High Risk Work Licence WP class (Boom-type Elevating Work Platform 11 metres or more) highly regarded

n

Working at heights (not essential but highly regarded)

n

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

n

Physically fit and reliable

n

Strong work ethic with a positive, team-first attitude
