THE POSITION

The Moreton Bay College are seeking a technically strong, proactive, and responsive Technical Business Analyst to support the implementation of Moreton Bay College’s HRIS and Payroll project, with a focus on business analysis, data migration, systems integration, and system environment management. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to support effective delivery, resolve issues, and ensure project outcomes are achieved.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical

- Maintain consultative relationships with key stakeholders within Moreton Bay College (MBC) IT department regarding technical system integrations (APIs), inclusive of development of audit mechanisms to ensure target data has been received without error.
- Assist with the development of API GL data output information from payroll, transforming this key financial information into correct format to be received into current financial system.
- Review system security profiles and access groups and conduct testing to support confidential information trustworthiness.
- Develop department specific reporting and explore dashboard capability to provide real time data.
- Evaluate and carry out testing of key system workflows and notification functions, mapping and documenting data movement and function.
- Assist with the functionality testing of customised HR, Time and Attendance and Payroll features.




- Assist with the roll out of UKG app and troubleshoot issues preventing access.

Data Management

- Prepare and import bulk data as required, maintaining revolving data audits between multiple system environments, inclusive of purging redundant data.
- Document technical system process mapping to support BAU instructional guidelines, informing best practice to guarantee continuity of data integrity post Go Live.
- Assist with the comparison and evaluation of parallel pay run data.
- As required, translate data and system functionality into instructional materials to assist BAU teams.

Project Consultation Expertise

- Consult and collaborate with the People and Capability and Payroll SMEs to align and document all specialised system functionalities, ensuring all configurable items are aligned with industrial instruments.
- Liaise and collaborate with MBC IT Manager and or current system administrators for project system integration items.
- Assist with internal departmental consultation surrounding technical system functionality and or reporting needs.

WHAT YOU BRING

Essential

- Previous technical experience as a Business Analyst within a HRIS and Payroll implementation environment.
- Data management of payroll specific data in a project implementation space.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Robust problem-solving ability.
- Ability to learn new software quickly
- A current Queensland Blue Card (or ability to obtain one)

Desirable

- Experience within a school environment
- UKG or Kronos experience

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

- Project management experience would be highly desirable.
