We are looking for an experienced E-Commerce & Digital Sales Specialistto work directly with our management team and help us improve our online sales and digital presence.

This is aninitial 8–12 week contract, with the possibility of a further-term contract or full-time employment for the right person if the initial engagement goes well and there is a suitable ongoing role within the business.

We are not looking for someone whose main focus is social media. We are looking for someone who understands e-commerce, online sales and the numbers behind digital marketing.

The Role

n

You will work directly with management to assess what is currently working, identify opportunities and implement practical improvements.

n

Your responsibilities may include:

n

n




- Reviewing our existing website and e-commerce performance
n
- Analysing Google Analytics and Google Search Console
n
- Reviewing existing and previous Google Ads campaigns
n
- Managing and improving Google Search and Google Shopping campaigns
n
- Identifying products and categories with the best online sales potential
n
- Improving product pages, titles, descriptions and online merchandising
n
- Identifying opportunities to improve website conversion rates
n
- Improving our organic Google search visibility (SEO)
n
- Reviewing and improving our Google Business Profile
n
- Developing email and customer remarketing campaigns
n
- Helping promote clearance, promotional and slow-moving stock
n
- Monitoring competitors and online pricing
n
- Identifying opportunities to increase repeat customer sales
n
- Setting up and improving conversion tracking
n
- Reporting clearly on online sales, advertising costs and return on investment
n
- Working with our existing website/technology providers where required
n

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, practical and hands-on.

You should have demonstrated experience with:

- E-commerce websites
n
- Google Ads
n
- Google Shopping

- Google Analytics
n
- Google Search Console
n
- SEO
n
- Conversion optimisation
n
- Digital sales
n
- Online retail
n

n

Experience in consumer electronics, appliances or another retail setting would be highly regarded.

n

Most importantly, you need to understand the difference between marketing activity and actual sales.

We are interested in results such as:

The Initial Project

The first 8–12 weeks will focus on:

- Fixing important tracking and website issues

- Testing carefully selected digital marketing opportunities

- Improving the online customer journey

- Measuring the results
n
- Providing management with a practical longer-term digital sales plan
