Oak Living builds bespoke homes across South East Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula, shaped around the way our clients actually want to live. Every home starts with a question, not a template: what does this person need from the place they come home to every day? We're growing, and we're looking for an experienced Sales Estimator to join us on a part-time basis.

This isn't a volume-builder role. Every estimate you produce sits behind a custom design, a luxury finish, or a client who's invested real thought into how their home should work. We know great estimators don't always want five full days a week, and we'd rather build a role around the right person. The Role

- Prepare accurate estimates and quotes for bespoke, architecturally designed homes — no two builds the same
- Prepare take-offs and pricing across a range of custom single and double-storey designs, including high-end finishes and detailed inclusions
- Source quotations and pricing for client variations, upgrades, and one-off design elements
- Prepare and present clear, well-documented tender and contract pricing
- Review plans, engineering, and supporting documentation to make sure every estimate reflects what's actually being built
- Run quality assurance checks across all estimating documentation before it goes out
- Liaise with our design, construction, and sales teams to keep projects moving smoothly




- Support clients and internal teams with technical and pricing queries, in plain language they can actually use

About You

- Solid experience in a sales estimating role, ideally within custom or luxury residential building
- A genuine eye for detail — you notice the finish, the junction, the thing that's easy to miss
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and costs at a premium level
- Sound knowledge of the National Construction Code, ResCode, and Victorian building requirements
- Confidence reading and interpreting architectural drawings, engineering plans, and supporting documentation
- Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office
- Comfortable managing your own time and workload to make part-time hours genuinely effective
- A cooperative mindset and genuine willingness to contribute to a close-knit team
