About the Role

This is a permanent part-time position, generally averaging around 0.6FTE, combined with living onsite in the fully furnished manager's residence.





The role offers a high degree of flexibility and autonomy. While there are naturally busy periods around guest arrivals and departures, up-to-date systems and automation will progressively reduce administration, allowing you to focus on delivering excellent guest experiences and maintaining a well-presented property.

The successful applicant will be supported by an experienced management team who will oversee finance, payroll, marketing, strategic planning, major purchasing and capital improvements.

Your focus will simply be to make sure today's motel runs exceptionally well.

Responsibilities

- Welcoming guests and delivering exceptional customer service.

- Managing reservations, enquiries and guest communications.

- Coordinating check-ins and check-outs.

- Coordinating housekeeping and checking room presentation.

- Maintaining high standards throughout the property.

- Ordering day-to-day consumables and supplies.

- Coordinating minor maintenance and contractors.

- Responding professionally to guest enquiries and issues.

- Helping identify opportunities to continually improve the guest experience.

About You

You'll likely have experience in hospitality, accommodation or customer service and enjoy working independently.

We're looking for someone who:





- Is warm, approachable and professional.

- Has excellent communication skills.

- Is highly organised and self-motivated.

- Takes pride in presentation and attention to detail.

- Enjoys solving problems.

- Is confident using computers and booking systems (or willing to learn).

- Wants to genuinely take ownership of the day-to-day operation.

Experience managing accommodation is advantageous but not essential. Personality, initiative and attitude are far more important.
