About the role

This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the practice and playing a key role in its continued growth. You will lead and support the practice administration and nursing teams, manage workflows, rosters and staffing, and ensure an exceptional patient experience from initial enquiry through to treatment and follow-up.

Key responsibilities

- Leading and supporting the practice administration and nursing teams
- Managing day-to-day practice operations, workflows, rosters and staffing
- Ensuring an exceptional patient experience from initial enquiry through to treatment and follow-up
- Overseeing consultation, surgical, theatre and referral administration
- Managing billing, receipting and debtor processes
- Coordinating stock, supplies, equipment and routine supplier relationships
- Ensuring practice policies, procedures, privacy and compliance requirements are maintained
- Monitoring practice performance and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and service
- Identifying and implementing opportunities to grow the business, improve patient engagement and increase practice performance




- Working closely with Dr Cairns and senior management on initiatives that support the continued success of the practice

About you

- An experienced Medical Practice Manager, ideally from a specialist or surgical environment, with at least 2 years in a similar role
- A confident and capable people leader
- Highly organised, proactive and solutions focused
- Commercially aware and motivated by business improvement and growth
- Passionate about delivering an outstanding patient experience
- Confident managing competing priorities in a busy environment
- A explicit, confident and professional communicator who can build strong relationships with patients, staff, doctors and external stakeholders.

Expected Days and Times

- Monday - 9am-4pm
- Tuesday - 9am-4pm
- Thursday - 9am-4pm
- Friday - 9am-2pm
