The Opportunity
n
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. The successful applicant will play an important role in preparing and producing high-quality food, while maintaining our standards of freshness, consistency and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Prepare and cook meals according to menu specifications and quality standards
n
- Assist with daily kitchen operations and food preparation
n
- Maintain high standards of food presentation and portion control
n
- Prepare fresh ingredients and house-made products, including pastries and cakes
n
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements
n
- Assist with stock management, ordering and kitchen organisation
n
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
n
- Thursday's fresh produce market pick up weekly 6am Brisbane (use of company vehicle) must have open license
n
- Availability for catering and dinner pop up events when required
n
n
Skills and Experience Required
n
n
- Relevant commercial cookery qualifications - Certificate IV Commercial Cookery and Certificate IV in Patisserie, preferred
n
- Previous experience working in pastry and service Chef positions in a qualified kitchen environment, 3 yrs full-time min.
n
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
n
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during busy service periods, and under pressure
n
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
n
- Relevant Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
n
- Ability to work a weekly roster Wed to Sun 7am - 3.30pm approximately, and public holidays when required. *NB with exception to Thurs 5am-1.30pm shift (includes Produce pick up)
