This isn't a role for someone who wants to manage construction from behind a desk.

We're looking for an experienced Reticulation Construction Manager to take ownership of a major underground electrical reticulation scope on one of Queensland's significant new renewable energy projects.

More importantly, you'll have the opportunity to help build an internal reticulation capability from the ground up for a growing Australian electrical infrastructure contractor. The business is investing significantly in its own specialist plant and equipment, people and self-perform capability. They need someone who genuinely understands how to put the operation together and make it productive.

The opportunity

Initially, you'll take responsibility for establishing and delivering the underground reticulation construction capability for a major wind project in North Queensland.

You'll be responsible for:

- Mobilising and establishing the reticulation construction operation
- Managing electrical reticulation crews and supervisors
- Setting up and operating specialist cable installation equipment
- Driving productivity, utilisation and output
- Planning labour, plant, equipment and construction sequencing
- Cable drum, pulling and installation planning
- Coordinating trenching, cable installation, jointing and termination activities
- Managing equipment servicing, maintenance and availability
- Establishing practical construction methodologies and processes
- Working closely with engineering, project management, commercial and project controls
- Managing interfaces with other construction disciplines and subcontractors
- Building a safe, repeatable and scalable delivery model

You'll have strong commercial and project support around you.



We're not looking for an accountant with construction experience — we're looking for someone who knows how to physically deliver this work.

The ambition is bigger than one project. The business wants to increase the amount of electrical construction it self-performs across its renewable energy portfolio. For the right person, this is an opportunity to take what you establish on the first project and help develop it into a reticulation service line capable of supporting future projects nationally.

If you're currently running reticulation crews for another contractor and wondering what the next step looks like, this could be it.

You'll ideally bring experience across:

- Underground HV/MV electrical reticulation
- Wind farm collection systems or similar large-scale electrical infrastructure
- Cable installation, pulling, jointing and terminations
- Specialist cable installation plant and equipment
- Managing crews in a self-perform workplace
- Construction planning and mobilisation
- Plant utilisation and productivity
- Managing multiple workfronts
- Building and developing construction teams

Experience with wind farms and 33kV collection systems would be particularly attractive. We're interested in an excellent Construction Manager, Reticulation Manager, Superintendent or Operations Manager who has the technical knowledge, leadership ability and ambition to step up and help build something.
