Job Description

Borepoint Drilling & Excavation is looking for a hands-on Machine Operator / Truck Driver to join the field team in Canberra. The role combines driving and taking ownership of one of the trucks with hands-on work across drilling, hydrovac and civil operations. You'll work alongside drilling crews on a variety of projects throughout Canberra and the surrounding region.

Key responsibilities

n

Drive and take day-to-day responsibility for your allocated truck

n

Keep the truck clean, maintained and ready for work

n

Identify basic maintenance issues before they become bigger problems

n

Perform hydrovac excavation and operation

n

Assist drilling operators and be an active member of the drilling crew

n

Set up and pack down equipment and worksites

n

Perform general civil and field work





n

Work safely around underground services, plant and machinery

n

Help the crew wherever required to get the job completed

n

About you

n

Mechanically minded, practical and enjoy working with machinery

n

Take ownership of the equipment you operate

n

Comfortable working outdoors and getting your hands dirty

n

Experience in drilling, hydrovac, civil construction, earthmoving or similar industries is highly regarded

n

Heavy vehicle licence required
