Working alongside the Restaurant Manager, you will take a leading role in the smooth running of restaurant services and help ensure the front-of-house team consistently delivers the level of service guests expect. On a typical shift, you will oversee a team of approximately six staff, providing direction and support throughout service and ensuring established systems, structured order of service and customer service standards are consistently followed. This is a hands‑on position where you’ll be on the floor leading by example, interacting with guests, supporting the team and ensuring the small details that create a great restaurant experience are never overlooked.

Key responsibilities

- Lead and supervise the front-of-house team during service
- Maintain a high level of hospitality and customer-focused service
- Ensure established systems and structured order of service are followed
- Maintain presentation, cleanliness and service standards throughout the restaurant
- Support, train and develop junior team members
- Manage customer enquiries and resolve issues professionally
- Work closely with the kitchen and Restaurant Manager to deliver smooth services
- Assist with opening and closing procedures and general restaurant operations




- Communicate effectively with the wider team before, during and after service
- Help build upon the strong standards and positive workplace culture already in place

About you

- Strong restaurant or hospitality experience
- Previous experience as a Senior Waiter, Supervisor, Section Leader or similar
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A high level of attention to detail
- Confidence to lead and motivate a small team
- Ability to remain organised and composed during busy services
- Willingness to follow established systems and procedures
- Professional, positive and hands‑on approach
- Available to work evenings
- Valuable food and wine knowledge, or a genuine interest in developing it
- A current NSW RSA
