About the Role

VDG Services is seeking reliable and qualified Gate House Security Guards at North Rocks, NSW -Permanent Part-time position. This role will involve providing security services on a mixed commercial/industrial asset, ensuring the safety and security of premises, personnel, and assets.

What You’ll Be Doing

Monitor access points to the site, ensuring only authorised personnel and vehicles enter

Conduct routine patrols of the site and surrounding areas

Respond to incidents or alarms and report any security concerns to the supervisor

Maintain accurate logs and records of daily activities, incidents, and visitors

Provide a high standard of customer service and assist visitors when required

Enforce site-specific security protocols and health and safety procedures

Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV and alarm systems

Manage access control by verifying the credentials of individuals and vehicles entering the premises

Conduct mandatory inductions for new staff and visitors, ensuring compliance with security protocols and site safety standards

What We’re Looking For





Must have a valid NSW Security Licence

Experience in a similar security or guarding role, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team

Ability to remain calm and handle stressful situations effectively

Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills

Ability to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings and public holidays

Current First Aid and CPR certification
