WISE Workplace has been delivering investigation, mediation and training services across Australia for more than 15 years, supporting clients across government, education, health, community services, disability services and the private sector.

We are seeking experienced contract investigators in NSW and QLD. Assignments are allocated based on expertise, availability and location, ranging from short matters to complex investigations.

About You

You will have:

Experience conducting investigations, including interviewing, evidence gathering, analysis and report writing.

A background in employment law, HR, employee relations, policing, complaints management, integrity, safeguarding, NDIS, workplace safety or a related field.

Solid communication and stakeholder engagement skills.





Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Sound judgement, professionalism and the ability to manage sensitive matters with integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct workplace, misconduct, safeguarding and safety investigations.

Interview witnesses and gather, assess and analyse evidence.

Apply relevant legislation, policies and procedural frameworks.

Prepare clear, comprehensive and defensible investigation reports.

Work collaboratively with clients, investigators and quality assurance specialists.

Ensure procedural fairness and natural justice principles are upheld throughout investigations.

Current Private Investigator Licence in the relevant State.

Minimum three years' investigation or related experience.

Current driver's licence and ability to travel as required.

Strong time management skills and ability to work independently.

Certificate IV or Diploma in Government Investigations.

Degree in Employment Law, Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Workplace Health and Safety or a related discipline.

ICAM (Incident Cause Analysis Method) training.

Experience in workplace, safeguarding, NDIS or safety investigations.

Recruitment Process

Initial phone interview for shortlisted candidates.

Online assessment (if required).

Final interview with the Workplace Investigations team.
