KOALA KOAST Industries is an established Queensland cabinetry manufacturer supplying major residential project builders.

Our core business is repeat-volume cabinetry, supported by a modern purpose-built manufacturing facility in Bundamba.

We now have the capacity to selectively expand into more specialised and higher-value work and are interested in meeting an experienced cabinetmaker or shopfitter with skills beyond standard production cabinetry.

This opportunity would particularly suit someone who has spent time in commercial shopfitting, high-end residential cabinetry or custom manufacturing and enjoys solving the jobs that aren't simply square boxes.

The sort of experience we’re interested in

Ideally, you’ve worked with some of the following:

- commercial shopfitting
- reception counters and service counters
- high-end custom cabinetry
- curved and radius cabinetry
- feature joinery
- solid-surface or specialty benchtops
- retail fit-outs
- display suites
- architectural joinery
- unusual one-off cabinetry
- CNC manufacturing
- complex plans and detailed drawings
- prototyping and problem-solving

You don't need to have done everything on this list.

What interests us is broad practical experience, craftsmanship and the ability to work out how to build something properly when the answer isn't obvious.

The role

Depending on your background, the position could include:

- manufacturing specialist and custom cabinetry;
- setting up and producing unusual or complex work;
- cabinet assembly and detailed finishing;
- CNC and other machinery operation;
- working from architectural and shop drawings;
- developing practical manufacturing methods;
- prototypes and first-off products;
- quality control;




- assisting with specialist installations where appropriate;
- helping train younger cabinetmakers and apprentices;
- contributing ideas around machinery, tooling, jigs and production methods.

We are not looking for someone who needs to spend all day in an office.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys making things.

About you

You will ideally be:

- an experienced cabinetmaker, joiner or shopfitter;
- confident working independently;
- capable of reading detailed plans;
- comfortable around modern production machinery;
- particular about quality;
- organised and tidy;
- practical when solving problems;
- willing to share your knowledge with younger team members;
- reliable and interested in becoming part of a stable business.

A Certificate III in Cabinet Making or similar qualification would be highly regarded, but demonstrated capability and experience are what really interest us.

The factory has significant capacity for growth, up-to-date machinery and an established base of repeat‑volume builder work.

This opportunity is not about changing our core business.

It is about finding the right experienced person who could help us add capability around the edges of what we already do and allow us to selectively take on specialist work when it makes commercial sense.

For the right person, there is considerable scope to help shape that capability.

Hours

Full‑time, Monday to Friday.

Early starts, early finishes.

Remuneration

Approximately $40–$50 per hour + superannuation, depending on experience and capability.

If you bring specialist skills that genuinely expand what we can manufacture, we are happy to discuss the package accordingly.
