Amey Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing Wagga Wagga team. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior role within a collaborative and multidisciplinary consultancy, delivering a diverse range of land development and civil infrastructure projects across the Riverina region.

Working closely with the General Manager and leadership team, you will combine technical expertise, project leadership, client relationship management, and commercial awareness to deliver successful project outcomes while supporting the development of emerging engineers.

About the Role

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering civil engineering projects from concept through to completion. You will provide technical leadership, oversee project performance, manage client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

This position offers the opportunity to work across a diverse project portfolio while balancing hands-on engineering with broader project and team responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and support the delivery of civil engineering projects

- Provide technical leadership and guidance across a range of civil projects

- Review and approve engineering designs, reports, and documentation

- Mentor and support engineers and technical staff

- Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and project risks

- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships

- Assist in the preparation of fee proposals, tenders, and submissions

- Identify new business opportunities and contribute to business development initiatives

- Support recruitment, workforce planning, and team development activities





- Collaborate with the leadership team to achieve business and project objectives

- Promote Amey Australia's Civil Engineering capabilities across the region

Essential Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

- NER Registered Engineer

- CPEng and MIEAust (or working towards)

- Minimum 7 years' experience within a consulting environment

- Demonstrated experience delivering civil engineering projects

- Strong understanding of civil engineering design, standards, legislation, and industry best practice

- Proven ability to manage project budgets, programs, and client relationships

- Strong commercial awareness and project management capability

- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
