Financial Accountant

An excellent opportuniuty to join a prestigious Financial Services Group, in the position of Financial Accountant. This position is ideally suited to someone looking to make their first move from a consulting / Big 4 audit firm or from a Financial Services Group. A person, who thrives in a detail-orientated role with exposure to senior leadership and can deliver optimal policies and governance across finance.

Responsibilities:

- Completion of month-end accounting activities, including preparation of manual journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Accounts payable activities.
- Preparation of revenue calculations and customer fee invoices.
- Cash flow forecasting and monitoring financial compliance.
- Prepare quarterly board papers including financial statement analysis and dividend / capital management recommendations.
- Delivery of annual financial statements and clearance of audit queries.




- Building and maintaining a team-oriented relationship with the global team.
- Provide assistance to the manager & team with other ad hoc financial analysis and project work.
- Updating and documenting procedures. This includes an opportunity to identify, suggest and implement ongoing process improvements within the team.

Experience:

- Tertiary qualification in accounting.
- CA / CPA qualified or working towards a qualification.
- 2+ years’ experience in a Financial Reporting role.
- Excellent communicator with strong report writing capabilities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to build strong relationships across a variety of stakeholders at differing levels of leadership.
