We are looking for a curious and motivated Digital Infrastructure Engineer to join our Digital and Cyber Security team. This role is ideal for someone looking to expand their IT career who wants practical experience beyond a typical office environment.

You will help keep core technology services reliable,secureand connected across our mine site. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gain exposure to a broad technologyenvironmentand contribute to initiatives that improve safety,productivityand operational resilience. You will play an important role in maintaining and improving the technology systems that keep a 24/7 mining operation connected, secure and productive. This is not a traditional IT support role. It is an opportunity to develop real-world engineering skills in an environment where technology directly impacts safety, production and business performance and live and work in sunny North Queensland.

What you will be doing

- Support and troubleshoot wired and wireless networks across operational and corporate environments.
- Assistwith network monitoring, switching, routing, IP addressing,connectivityand performance issues.
- Help administer cloud and on-premises identity,collaborationand infrastructure services.
- Supportvirtualisedplatforms, servers,backup,recoveryand business continuity activities.




- Assist with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online administration, permissions,reportingand site configuration.
- Investigate incidents, documentsolutionsandidentifyopportunities to automate or improve recurring tasks.
- Partner with internal teams and technology providers on upgrades,projectsand continuous improvement.

What you will bring

- A degree in information technology, computer science or networkingfield.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi-Fi, routing,switchingand firewalls.
- Strong familiarity with Windows environments, cloud services and Microsoft 365.
- A practical approach to problem solving and a willingness to investigate issuesthrough toresolution.
- Clear communication, valuable documentationhabitsand the confidence to work with people across the business.
- A strong safety mindset, personalaccountabilityand enthusiasm for learning in a hands‑on environment.

The opportunity

This is a site-based role supporting our Ravenswood operation as well as Townsville and Brisbane environments. The positionworksan 8/6 DIDO roster. You will join a cooperative and forward-thinking team where ideas are welcomed, learning issupportedand reliable technology makes a genuine difference to the business.

All preferred candidates will undergo pre-employment checks, including a Nationally Coordinated Police Check, medical assessments, reference checks, and verification of qualifications.
