Broad, hands-on finance role with Guardian Vaults / Guardian Gold

Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer

The Opportunity

Guardian Vaults / Guardian Gold is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in a broad, hands‑on role supporting a growing national business. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer and operational leaders, you will play an important part in maintaining accurate financial records, strengthening reporting, supporting payroll and compliance, and helping the business make well‑informed decisions.

What You’ll Do

- Manage day‑to‑day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable analysis, and general ledger journals.
- Support month‑end and year‑end processes, including reconciliations, fixed asset register management, and financial performance reporting.
- Manage payroll processing maintaining accurate employee, payroll, and employment records,



ensuring compliance and reporting of payroll tax and WorkCover across all States.
- Support business performance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
- Provide practical operational and management support to the Brisbane business unit when needed, including during periods of leave or reduced coverage.
- Build strong working relationships across finance, operations, suppliers, employees, and management to support sound controls and smooth business operations.

About You

- At least 10 years’ experience in accounting or a comparable finance role, ideally within a multi‑site or multi‑entity business.
- Robust capability across accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll administration, and general ledger processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence using accounting, payroll, and business systems.
- Experience preparing business analysis, budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong organisation skills, discretion, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across finance, operations, suppliers, employees, and management.
- A hands‑on, collaborative, and solutions‑focused approach, with a strong commitment to integrity, excellence, and teamwork.
