ellaslist is where Sydney parents go to work out what to do with their kids. Our commercial partners — attractions, venues, camps, shows, brands and events — rely on us to reach those families at exactly the moment they're planning.

This role both manages and produces that commercial content. You'll write it, build it, schedule it, put spend behind it and get it approved, across a calendar that moves fast and peaks hard around every school holiday period.

It's a busy delivery role, if you love the satisfaction of a clean, fully-shipped calendar and you write quickly without sacrificing quality, you'll do well here. If you're looking for long-form features and slow creative development, this isn't the one.

Key responsibilities

- Manage the commercial calendar and own the production calendar to keep every partner deliverable on schedule
- Work with sales and operations so what's been sold is what gets built
- Manage client approvals, revisions and sign-offs, and keep them moving
- Brief and manage freelance writers during peak periods, with an annual budget you control
- Create, write and produce event listings and venue listings at volume — accurate, useful, on-brand
- Write client articles and sponsored listicles that read like editorial, not advertising
- Create supporting social media posts and reels and schedule using Sprout
- Produce solus EDMs and partner placements in regular newsletters
- Perform image selection, cropping, resizing and light editing for web,

- Schedule and publish across social channels, set up, monitor and optimise paid social campaigns, and build and send campaigns in Mailchimp

About you

- 2–4 years producing content in a publishing, agency or in-house marketing setting
- Demonstrably fast, clean writing — we'll ask you to do a short paid writing test
- Practical Meta Ads Manager experience — setting up and managing campaigns with a real budget, not boosting from the app
- Comfort with a CMS and basic image editing (Canva, Photoshop or Figma)
- The organisational discipline to run a calendar with multiple simultaneous client deadlines
- Composure with clients — chasing approvals and absorbing late changes without losing momentum
- Care about the audience — parents trying to fill a rainy Saturday or a two-week holiday
