3C Energy is an engineering-led group delivering power, control and asset reliability systems for critical industrial infrastructure. Through Synchrotech, we design and build power, industrial process and control solutions. Through machinemonitor®, we deliver HV electrical asset condition monitoring, testing and maintenance. We work from initial design through commissioning and into long-term operations.

The Role

We're looking for a practitioner - someone who'd rather spend the morning on the workshop floor sorting out a control than at a desk writing about one. We have brought two businesses together and the system needs work - bringing it up to date, getting it consistent across both and making it something crews and workshop teams actually use.

You will spend real time where the work happens. Our people work on and around energised HV assets, on client-controlled sites, and in a manufacturing and commissioning environment. The risk is real and the work is technical, so you need to be someone supervisors and technicians take seriously.

Reporting to the Chief of Staff, this is a Brisbane-based, on-site role with occasional travel across Australia and New Zealand. This is not a fly-in-fly-out role. We are acquiring and we are growing, which means the system you build has to hold up as current businesses come into the group. You will not be inheriting a finished function. You will be getting it into shape.

What you'll do

- Bring the HSEQ management system up to date - harmonising the legacy systems of both businesses into one set of standards, procedures and controls people will actually follow.
- Coordinate our ISO 45001, 9001 and 14001 certifications - internal audits, surveillance audits, closing findings and managing the certification body.
- Support the Skytrust rollout - getting documents,



registers and workflows into the platform and getting people using it properly.
- Be in the field and in the workshop - site inspections, safety observations, toolbox talks and the informal conversations that tell you what's really happening.
- Work alongside supervisors and crews on SWMS and JSEAs - reviewing them, improving them and helping people write risk assessments that reflect the actual job.
- Run incident management end to end - response, investigation, root cause, corrective actions and getting the lessons across both businesses.
- Day-to-day contractor and subcontractor HSEQ management - inductions, verification of competency, monitoring performance on site.
- Client prequalification, contractor management portals and HSEQ content for tenders - the credentials that keep us on approved-supplier lists.
- Quality in a manufacturing and field-services setting - ITPs, non-conformance, supplier quality and warranty.
- Keep the rhythm - leading indicators, inspection and audit schedule, training matrix and action registers that actually close.
- Multi-jurisdictional compliance - one system that satisfies WHS regimes across our Australian sites and the Health and Safety at Work Act in New Zealand.

Who we're looking for

- Credible in the field - can walk a site or a workshop and be taken seriously by the people doing the work.
- A doer - would rather fix the procedure than write a paper about fixing the procedure.
- Bias to action - closes loops without being asked.
- Direct and respectful - holds supervisors and contractors to their commitments.




- Pragmatic - knows the difference between a control that reduces risk and paperwork that protects no one.
- Comfortable with ambiguity - the system is mid-build and you will be building it.
- Can build a true picture of sites you're not standing on, through the people who are.
- Calm under pressure and steady when something goes wrong.
- Uses AI in their work or is genuinely keen to learn - we expect it across the group and it is not optional here.

Preferred experience

- 5+ years' HSEQ experience in electrical services, industrial maintenance, energy, construction or manufacturing.
- Strong working knowledge of Australian and New Zealand WHS legislation and the Queensland electrical safety framework, with the practical ability to translate it into controls people follow.
- Confident working to ISO 45001, 9001 and 14001 - whether that's holding existing certification through audits or taking a business through certification for the first time.
- Practical experience with SWMS, JSEAs, risk assessment and incident investigation including a recognised investigation methodology.
- Experience coaching supervisors and operational teams, with the credibility to challenge when required.
- Fluent in Microsoft 365, willing to learn Skytrust, Odoo and other group tools quickly.
- Already using AI tools in your work, or ready to. We use them across the group for drafting, analysis and document review and we will teach you.
- Clear, professional written communication suitable for client and regulator use.
- Cert IV WHS or higher, or equivalent practical depth.
- Exposure to multi-site or multi-entity businesses is a plus.
- Depth of judgment matters more than length of experience. Mentoring will be provided.
