Commerce Joinery & Cabinets is seeking an experienced and motivated Estimator / Draftsperson to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong cabinetry background who enjoys a varied role combining estimating, drafting, project coordination, and client interaction.
Working closely with builders, project managers, and our production team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality cabinetry projects from concept through to manufacture.
About the Role
- Preparing accurate quotations and cost estimates from plans and specifications
- Producing detailed shop drawings and manufacturing documentation
- Interpreting architectural and joinery plans
- Liaising with builders, suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders
- Material take-offs and procurement assistance
- Managing variations and updating project documentation
- Supporting production and project teams throughout the delivery process
- Ensuring drawings and estimates are completed accurately and within deadlines
About You
- Experience in cabinet making, joinery, or shopfitting
- Estimating and/or drafting experience within the cabinetry industry
- Proficiency in CabMaster, or similar software.
- Strong understanding of cabinetry construction methods and hardware
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction plans
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Highly Regarded
- Experience with commercial projects
- Knowledge of procurement and project coordination
- Experience working with production/manufacturing teams
