Candidate Resource Manager - Renewable Energy Recruitment

Permanent | Wetherill Park, NSW | $75,000-$90,000 + Superannuation + Commission NOW Energy is a specialist recruitment and labour-hire business supporting the energy industry through project delivery services and workforce solutions. We are looking for a tenacious, people-focused Candidate & Resource Manager to join our growing team.

The opportunity

Working closely with management, you will take ownership of candidate attraction, engagement, mobilisation and ongoing worker care. Your contribution will create greater capacity for client relationships and business development, while helping NOW Energy maintain a responsive, compliant and high-quality candidate pipeline.

This is not simply an administrative role. It calls for confidence on the phone, sound commercial judgement and the drive to find and engage the right people often in a fast-moving market where persistence matters.

The position is permanent and based in our newly built Wetherill Park office, with modern facilities, on-site car parking and working hours of 8.30am to 4.30pm. Work-from-home flexibility is also available.

General Responsibilities:

- Proactively source, attract and engage candidates across renewable energy, electrical contracting and related technical markets.
- Build and maintain active talent pools, keeping close contact with available workers and emerging candidates.
- Conduct telephone screening and structured interviews, assess suitability and present strong shortlists to the Senior Account Manager.
- Coordinate onboarding, mobilisation and placement requirements, including licenses, tickets, right-to-work checks, inductions and other mandatory documentation.
- Maintain regular worker contact throughout assignments, resolve issues early and identify redeployment opportunities.
- Keep candidate records, availability, notes and compliance documents accurate and current within company systems.
- Work with the broader team to respond quickly to client requirements,



fill roles and protect service quality.
- Apply practical commercial awareness when interpreting industrial relations requirements, modern awards, pay conditions and placement obligations.
- Follow NOW Energy’s compliance processes and contribute to the consistent application of ISO aligned quality, safety and environmental information management standards.

What we are looking for:

- A confident, engaging communication style and the ability to build trust with people from varied backgrounds.
- Tenacity, initiative and genuine enjoyment of phone-based candidate engagement.
- Strong organisation and follow-through, with the ability to manage competing priorities without losing attention to detail.
- Commercial awareness and an interest in industrial relations, award interpretation and labour-hire compliance.
- Comfort with technology, databases and everyday business software, together with accurate written communication.
- A collaborative approach and team-first attitude, balanced with the autonomy to manage your own responsibilities and priorities.
- Integrity, discretion and a commitment to treating candidates and workers with respect.

Experience that may suit

Recruitment, labour-hire, candidate management or renewable energy experience will be highly regarded, but it is not essential. We also welcome applicants from electrical contracting, construction, utilities, engineering or project services who understand workforce environments and are ready for a new challenge.
