About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow ITOM Consultant / Senior Engineer to join a large enterprise transformation in Sydney.

This is a hands‑on consulting role focused on running discovery workshops, designing robust ITOM solutions, and providing technical guidance to ServiceNow developers. You will own the implementation and ongoing support of core ITOM capabilities while driving CMDB excellence and CSDM adoption across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead discovery workshops and design ServiceNow ITOM solutions (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management).
- Implement, configure, and support ServiceNow ITOM modules to improve operational visibility and service health.
- Drive CMDB governance, data quality, health, compliance, and CI lifecycle management.
- Lead CSDM adoption and service modelling aligned with ServiceNow best practices.
- Implement and support Vulnerability Response (VR) and Security Incident Response (SIR) modules.
- Design and deliver integrations between ServiceNow and monitoring, infrastructure, and security tools.
- Partner closely with business stakeholders, architects, operations, and security teams.
- Provide technical guidance, documentation, and mentoring to ServiceNow development teams.




- Deliver automation and process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of hands‑on ServiceNow experience with proven delivery of ITOM and Security Operations modules.
- Robust expertise in ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB.
- Deep knowledge of CMDB governance, health management, data modelling, and Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
- Experience implementing Vulnerability Response and Security Incident Response.
- Proven ability to design and deliver integrations with external monitoring and security tools.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in large enterprise environments.
- Ability to run discovery workshops, translate business needs into technical designs, and guide developers through implementation.

Certifications

- Preferred : Current ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- Preferred: Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
- Highly Desirable: ServiceNow CIS – Discovery / ITOM
- Preferred: ITIL Foundation

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a pragmatic, hands‑on ServiceNow ITOM specialist who can comfortably operate at both workshop/design level and deep technical implementation level. You will have a strong track record of improving CMDB health, embedding CSDM, and delivering tangible operational outcomes in complex enterprise environments.
