An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Commercial Analyst to join a well-established, growing national organisation.

Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in driving commercial performance across a complex, operationally focused business. Partnering closely with Operations and other key stakeholders, you will translate financial and operational data into meaningful insights that improve profitability and support better decision‑making.

This is a hands‑on commercial finance role offering a strong mix of business partnering, financial modelling, forecasting and process improvement. You will also have the opportunity to enhance reporting capabilities through Power BI, Excel and other analytical tools.

Duties

- Partner with operational leaders to understand performance drivers and identify commercial opportunities
- Analyse revenue, costs and profitability across a national branch network
- Develop financial models and business cases to support operational and strategic decisions
- Own budgeting and forecasting processes, identifying key risks and opportunities
- Deliver insightful weekly and monthly reporting, dashboards and KPI analysis
- Evaluate commercial initiatives, track advantages and assess financial outcomes
- Analyse commission structures and provide recommendations to improve performance
- Review commercial agreements and assess financial implications and risks
- Drive improvements in reporting, automation and financial processes

Skills and Experience

- 6+ years' experience in commercial finance, FP&A; or a similar analytical role
- CA/CPA qualified or equivalent, preferred
- Strong financial modelling, analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
- Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query
- Experience with Power BI or similar reporting and analytical tools
- Proven ability to partner with operational and non-finance stakeholders
- Commercially curious, proactive and comfortable challenging the status quo
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
